Hall’s Harbour Historical Society
The Hall’s Harbour Historical Society is a non-profit organization formed in 1997. For the purposes of the Society, the following boundaries are used to refer to Hall’s Harbour:
Along the North Shore of the Municipality of the County of Kings bounded on the North by the Bay of Fundy, on the Westby Chipman Brook, on the South by Ross Corner and Centreville and on the East by the Sheffield Vault, including the Community of Hall’s Harbour.
The objectives of the Society are to preserve artifacts, information, photographs and any other items relating to the people and their life in Hall’s Harbour.
In co-operation with the Fire Department, the Society was able to use the Katimavik Program in 1998 to do work on the East Hall’s Harbour School. This building holds records for multiple community organizations and in July 2024 the school house was reopened as a small museum to house and show the artifacts donated by the community.
Membership in the Historical Society is open to anyone in the community as voting members and to non-residents as non-voting members. At present there is a one time fee of $2.00 for membership.
Donations to the historical society are appreciated and can be made online via Canada Helps or by sending a cheque to the mailing address below.
